((This message brought to you by Brittlebear, the shop owner))
That's right! Carnivorous Companions is hiring once again! We're looking for a dedicated, hard working mature person who is willing to commit themselves to the shop. So you'll probably need a lot of free-time to handle to fast pace we try to maintain at C.C. I try to run a professional business(ish), one that takes itself seriously(sort of), yet we naturally have a lot of fun, because I like to mix work with pleasure, since art brings so much joy to myself and others, I like to do the best I can with every piece I sell, so I expect no less from my fellow staff members. Down to business!
Colourist Requirements
arrow Some version of photoshop, or at the very least you must be able to open psd files.
arrow AIM, YIM, ect... (Some way of communicating with you, for file transfer.)
arrow You must be creative!
arrow I expect you to listen to me and make sure we have clear and open lines of communication, I DON'T want you going off and just making anything you desire without telling me first, so we can plan where it can fit in and what you might want to be doing instead, since I have flatsales often and I like to keep them themed.
arrow You need to willing to learn, I don't' boast that I know everything about pet-shops or art, but if I have a problem with the way you're coloring, please be open to changing, since I like the pets that come from my shop to be similar in style (I am aware everyone has a different style, I don't mean to take this right from you, but there are a few things which we can all improve upon, so please be open to listening. Who knows you may learn something.)
arrow As always, I expect you to be kind, appropriate and mature to the shop customer, and in the shop itself. Just a little kindness goes a long way.
Lineartist Requirements
arrow A version of photoshop (preferred), or the ability to transfer psd files.
arrow AIM, YIM, ect...(Way of contacting you, for file transfer.)
arrow Creativity and Commitment
arrow Willing to communicate with me, we need to be on the same page. When it comes to lineart, it's crucial that both you and myself know what we're looking for in a piece. I (brittlebear/shop owner) am a lineartist, you would be aiding me in the overall lineart produced in the shop, but know that you are not the only lineartist. Though currently, it'd just be the two of us, and I'd be willing to treat you more as a partner if you'd like, rather then an employee.
arrow Be kind, willing to learn, and appropriate in and around the shop, I don't want anyone causing drama or trouble. Thanks.
Payment
Colourists:
You will receive half (1/2) of all your colour customs. Ex: You finish a 15K something, you get 7.5K, simple enough right?
For raffles you get half.
For auctions you receive all of the profit.
Lineartist:
Prices vary, for a full custom for a single customer you receive all of the profit, unless you have someone else colour the peice for you, in which case you get 70-80% and the colourist gets the rest
For new sets of lineart for the shop, we'll arrange a price, so it's negotiable. We'll talk.
Colourist Examples:
I would like you to try and work with one of my pieces of lineart, you are free to with it what you want, but remember I'll be looking closely to what you do, this is a job application, your examples are the best I have to go off of if I plan on hiring you as a colourist.
I want to see a minimum of 2!
Lineart!
Lynx - Adult
Wolf - Pup
Lion - Evil Adult
How to download these psd files!
You'll be taken to a website called, Megaupload, here you enter the three letters in the top bar, it's simple, just look for it!
You don't have to get an account! You simply wait for it to be ready for you to download, and once it's ready, click, "free download", this will download it to your computer, it's a psd file, so if you can't take that then you probably shouldn't be trying to be a colourist, since I uses psd files for everything.
If you have problems pm me!
