Hi! Call me Chrissy. I am looking to start a new rp in Barton Town. I need a whole slue of things to get this started and running fairly quickly. My main concern is the graphics. I need this to be done as quickly as possible, mainly because I work an 8-5 job during the week and have absolutely no energy to do anything other than eat, shower and sleep when I get home. If you are really vested please, please, please work quickly on this with me. I will love you all the more for it.

What I need from you

Interest in the task. I understand that most people do the whole graphics request for the gaia gold or to strengthen their portfolios but I am looking for someone with a bit more interest than that. It makes it easier to work with you if you are interested in what it is I am requesting.

Samples of your work. I don't want to be the first customer you are ever working with. This is going to be a big task I ask and it makes me nervous working with first time artists. Link me to whatever you feel showcases your talents and I will see if we match up.

Time management. I am by no means giving you a deadline. Like...ew. I understand that life and general attention span can really slip sometimes. Totally understandable but please do not have a billion other jobs lined up aside from mine. I'm greedy. I want you to myself. ;] I had the horrible experience of having an artist start my work, get two commissions that interested them more and they left me hanging for a month. :[ Dont be that person. Please.

Communication with me. I will give you all of the things you need to work on the order, color schemes, brushes I like, themes, etc but I don't expect you to try and use all of them. Please tell me if you think that something just doesn't look right or isn't working out with what you are doing. Then we can figure it out together instead of you working super hard on something, coming back and having me veto something that could have been fixed at the start. I want to make this as painless as possible for you.


What I don't want ...

Linking to shops. If you just tell me to click your link in your signature or quote me with your shop, I will absolutely not look at you. I understand that for all intents and purposes that is probably the easiest way for you to have me look at your stuff, like your shop, post requests etc but I am doing this request one on one for a reason.

Leaving payment option to me. I cannot emphasize how much this really irritates me. I will pay you handsomely but if you leave the option to me to decide I will lowball the price. Off the bat. :/ If you have an idea of what you would like please let me know. We can haggle it if it's too much, whatever. I tend to pay what is asked and if your graphics are well done I pay more than asked.

Taking off. Not telling me that you are not interested in the task and having me have to chase you down will automatically not make me jazzed. It is soooo awkward. I have a bazillion other things on my mind as well. It really stresses me out to have to figure out what is going on. Think of this like a job. You wouldnt tell your employer you are going to do something and then take off suddenly...without a heads up and explanation. No bueno.

To give you a price I would need to know what is involved.
Currently I am working on a Pay Me Afterward since the market has changed so much.
I have received quite the range so depending on how much you need I can gauge how much to charge. Feel free to check my WL, I accept items as payment.
For thread layouts with lots of different components, I prefer to not work for less than 30b.

I offer JoinMe's, so we can work together and make sure its what you are wanting.

If you are using images you dont own/have permission to use, then it is against GAIA TOS for us to talk about a price. Hence the pay me after practice.

That's great, is there a particular style you preferred?

It looks pretty oriental flavored, are you looking to stay within that flavor?
Or something completely different?
I can definitely help you out. either way.
Did you want to mix L and non L graphics? Or have a traditional top and bottom?
Maybe a sidebar instead of an L....For the inner chars, I wouldnt do them as L's But maybe side's and then the top part would just be their name...which an L would work fine there but I still wouldnt want decorative L's if you have sidebars for the internal....
anyways thats some thoughts right off the cuff there.

It wasn't supposed to be oriental themed but that's how it turned out. XD
I like it but am willing for something new. I'm thinking of changing
the color scheme to something darker.

The original image is Koi fish.

The threads setting revolves around magic, gods and steam punk.

The character portion was one thing I drastically wanted to change.
Mainly because as people sign up for the thread they are giving
me their images. I had an artist long time ago who did the renders
and incorporated the new images into the graphic template but it
was tedious. I love the L graphics but need something simple for
me to work with.

Side bars are cool. It's something newer. Different.

My first question is, do you have any art program that will allow you to work with images?
Since people add characters all the time, I would recommend, having a simple rectangle with maybe some enhancements to the edges swirls/whatever where you or they, could simply stick their char on the under layer then erase the outlying edges.

Are you wanting to keep using the fish?

Its always nice when you can bounce ideas back and forth.

For the thread layout itself I'll be honest and say that
I felt our styles might not match up but what really
impressed me is that you know how to imagemap.

In my original thread I had a thread set aside that
had locations and had an imagemap for locations
within a general city.

Do you think you could do something similar to that?
It would literally be requesting you to do a thread but
for locations. haha
