Welcome! Welcome! Please, step on in, and welcome to the Stirring Pot, your one stop shop for all things potions. Whether you are a budding witch or a powerful warlock we have all your magical needs here in this one shop. We brew all our potions on site, and according to your preferences. Perfect if you rather not have a messy cauldron or need to stock up on ingredients.

Even better, you don’t need to be professional to make a brew! Our nearly fool proof (99.9%) magical pot will whip up a potion even if you have no clue what you’re doing. Best of all, the combinations are endless with plenty of secrets thrown in to keep things interesting.

Feel free to look around, and ask any questions if you have any. Also feel free to take our weekly sample freebie from the counter. Save it to your own storage pouch though, and do tell us if you’re taking a sample. We need to keep a close eye on our inventory.

And if you want, take a quick peek at our fanpage!

Summer has come!

A month late, it was supposed to come in June, but... it is here and with Summer is a massive update. First up, TSP is proud to open it's Alternatives section which features the Drinks Set, like the Bottles section, you can randomly put in up to seven ingredients. In addition, if you order a decanter and a glass and then shout out underneath "Make it a Set", it'll become a single set instead of two separate items, and it won't cost you extra to meld them together.

User Image

There's also been updates made to the potions in general. First, the short bottles were updated to have a more uniform default potion fashioned after the ones seen in the Drinks Set, the smoke has been changed and there is an additional pose for the herbs that did not exist before.

Finally, there is a new free ingredient, this is called Invisible Fluff, what it will do is pad out your potion taking up a pose space allowing for a bit more freedom in where the ingredients end up, if you know how the ingredients work.

Oh, and, new samples have come in, finally so hopefully we'll be back to our weekly sample schedule once more.

Enjoy!

1. Read the whole front page; unless I say so consider it all important.
2. Follow the ToS (seriously do I need to say this?)
3. Be polite and nice to everyone (of course)
4. Do not advertise within the shop, if it’s your sig I don’t care, but it’s insulting when you come into my shop and tell people to go to yours or someone else’s.
5. Do not re-sell my items, do not steal my images, do not claim you made them etc…
6. Be patient, orders get filled once a week unless I say otherwise.
7. Please make sure your PMs are not set to private (it’s kind of counter productive).
8. Send the trade first! I won't fill the order without a trade.
9. Put the page number in the trade, please, please… if I run minigames it’ll be hell to track it down.
10. I have the right to change the rules at any time when issues arise.

Disclaimer:
TSP is not responsible for any freak magical accidents resulting from not reading the full front page.

Can I “edit” the images?

As a general rule no, you cannot, because I made these images. However, you can add your username and resize the images. How you wish to use the images say as part of your profile, as a bumper, in your toybox, in your sig, is completely up to you.

Can you put my username on the images?

You can, I don’t want to. I have come to the point in my life where I will trust the general public not to rip me and you off by stealing something you brought from me, if for no other reason than to save my own sanity, but feel free to put in your username yourself.

Why was my trade canceled?

I cancel trades for only one of three reasons.
One, your form is difficult to read, I prefer if you list your items vertically instead of horizontally, I am less likely to miss anything and the larger the order the more painful it is when it’s listed left to right instead of up and down.
Two, your PMs are set to private, do not argue with me when I claim this, because in order for me to claim this I would have had to send the items before finding this out.
Three, you did not put the page number into the trade. You might not think it a big deal, but if I have a lot going on I do not want to track it down.

Why didn’t my potion turn out like “this”?

If you wanted your potion to turn out in a specific way, you might want to read Potions 101. My reasoning for positioning items is complicated, and messy, but it has reason.

Step One: Fill out the proper forms, using the guidelines in the forms found in brackets.
Step Two: Post the form in the shop (do not PM it ever).
Step Three: Send the trade with the page number in the title.
Step Four: Wait, all orders (unless said otherwise) are filled Sundays and the day before major holidays.

Disclaimer: Failure to fill out the orders properly will result in cancel trade.

How do you make potion brewing very complicated? By reading Potions 101 of course! If you like surprises or not really interested in understanding the complicated workings of the owner’s mind feel free to skip section. You don’t need it, honestly you don’t. For those who are still here welcome to Potions 101! Where we give you the run down on how our potions work.

First of all, you need to understand there is no such thing as an important ingredient. There is no one type of ingredient that you must have. All potions have defaults, like the one shown below.

User Image

All you need to know is that the cut off number for ingredients is 7 for bottles and 5 for alternatives.

Since you cannot see where each of the potion pieces are going, some ingredients have more than one position. This means that even if you list the exact same ingredients, if you put them into a different order, they will turn out differently like the row of jars below.

User Image

Also note positions are based upon visibility, which means that even if you chose the same bottle, it might not turn out exactly the same. Like the pretty row of bottles shown below.

User Image

These changes in position also mean that some items can be doubled, or even tripled. (In fact did you know you can add fairy dust twice?)

Finally, it is good to note that the more expensive the bottle or alternative is, the more likely the ingredients will be warped by the bottle. Meaning that whatever you see shoved in those bottles up there, might not be what you get in a more expensive bottle.

Bottles and potions go hand in hand, which is why TSP offers a wide range of bottles good to spice up any potion. In fact some of more expensive bottles will change the ingredient giving you something truly unique. Please read the labels on the bottles carefully, lest you end up with something you didn’t expect.

Please note that prices of the bottles will cover a complete brew (7 ingredients). You do not need to pay for the ingredients while brewing a potion.

Tired of the same old potion? Want to become that crazy wizard who offers potions instead of tea? Then take the alternative section for a whirl, we’re offering cups, and decanters and will continue to figure out new ways to serve your guest a nice potion or two. Good for those who are sick of bottles.

Please note that the prices of the alternatives will cover a complete brew (7 ingredients). You do not need to pay for the ingredients while brewing an alternative.

Drinks Set: Decanter, Fancy Glass, Flute Glass, Wine Glass, Brandy Glass, Stemless Glass
Special Note: Write "Make it a Set!" in extra large bold font underneath a decanter and glass order to make them into a single image set.

This is where all the magic happens, our ingredient section! We offer a wide variety of vials, incense and of course things to throw into your cauldron. If you let us brew your potion on site, you get the ingredients (in your potion) for free (7 for bottles and 5 for alternatives). If you wish to buy the ingredients to take home you’ll find they’re quite cheap.

While there is no customers list (owner is too lazy for that), we do have a white and black list. White lists for those who had stuck around for a long time, and the black list is for those who steal or not complete their trade for a very, very, very long time.

Ready to leave? Then why not drop by these great shops? Since TSP has been getting http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/compose/entry/65038623_14/#requests to create a banner link, we have provided one down below. This means that yes, TSP is open for banner exchange, however because Kara hates redoing her links. So this shop has one rule for exchange.

Your shop must be a shop that Kara herself would buy from sometime in the perceived future.

We say perceived future because sometimes Kara never gets around to buying anything from a shop she has interest in.

Cafe Disclaimer:
Please note if you own a cafe, and I decide not to put your link up here that there is a good chance I have nothing against your art. There are dozens of food minishops that exist. That being said, I have tad stricter policies involving food shops because my photobucket is turning into a fridge. (No joke).

The small amount of food shops who do have links here have provided/will provide me with food types/style/themes that are not often found within the minishop forum.

Banner Disclaimer: Also note that if I ask you for a banner exchange you are under no obligation to put my banner in your shop. I put your shop here because someday I will buy something from your shop if I had not done so already.
